The Business Support Officer provides high level administration support to the General Manager Planning and Infrastructure, Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning and other Planning and Infrastructure managers as required.
This role is a full-time opportunity until late December 2026, including a monthly RDO and flexible work options.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high level business support to the General Manager Planning and Infrastructure, Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning and the Planning and Infrastructure (P&I) team as required.Prepare agendas, attend meetings, capture actions, and present the actions arising from previous meetings.Prepare and edit business reports for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and the Board.Provide oversight of the procurement approvals and approvals in Adobe Sign on behalf of the General Manager P&I and Manager Infrastructure Strategy and Planning.Coordinate routine and project-based oversight of the P&I project management system including document register and performance reporting.Prepare, gather information for and proofread reports as required.Provide support to the Managing Director’s office as required.

Key Selection CriteriaWell-developed computer skills encompassing the Microsoft Office suite, electronic document management systems and calendar-based interpersonal communication and report writing skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate North East Waters mindsets of accountability, commitment, consistency, empathy and to manage competing demands and requests, set priorities and plan and organise your work to achieve specific and set objectives in the most efficient way possible.Experience in a similar role providing high level support and/or administrative assistance, including diary management and scheduling.

Position Information An attractive salary range of $78,527 to $88,313 plus 12% superannuation, depending on skills and experience.This is a full time, limited tenure position until late December 2026.Successful applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks including a police check and/or pre-employment medical and functional testing where applicable.Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
