Overview
Catholic Homes is seeking Home Care Support Workers to join our home care team on a casual basis with a view of permanency. This position will be responsible for providing in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and daily living supports for our home care clients. We are recruiting for the areas North/Duncraig up to Alkimos PLUS surrounding areas.
Our Home Care team endeavours to build strong and lasting relationships with our clients so that they may stay at home for longer and allow them to get out into the community to do the things they enjoy doing.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-home personal care, domestic assistance, social support, transport, and daily living supports for home care clients.
- Maintain a roadworthy and registered vehicle and hold a current driver’s licence.
- Support services from 7 am to 7 pm Monday – Friday with some weekend work available.
- Uphold high standards of care and represent Catholic Homes professionally.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience in Community Aged Care or a minimum of Cert III in aged care.
- Empathy and a caring nature toward elderly clients.
- Reliability, flexibility, and a strong commitment to person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to demonstrate pride in work and appearance and to make a positive difference in clients’ lives.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a vehicle.
