Job Description
As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting remediation activities, improving payroll accuracy, and assisting with system enhancements. This is a 6–12-month contract with flexible work-from-home arrangements for candidates who reside outside of the office locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the finalisation of salary, wage and Long Service Leave (LSL) validation activities.
* Assist with back-payment calculations and processing for current and former employees.
* Contribute to remediation activities as directed by the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO).
* Prepare reports and data for payroll leadership.
* Assist in the implementation of LSL system and process improvements, including: pay roll procedures, standard operating procedures for LSL, and collaboration across HR and Payroll projects to ensure integrated service delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications in payroll, accounting, or equivalent experience are required. A minimum of 3 years' experience in high-volume, end-to-end payroll processing is necessary. Strong understanding of awards, enterprise agreements, and relevant legislation, including superannuation, long service leave, Australian taxation, and workers compensation is also required.
