About the role
At RACT, we're more than an organisation — we're Tasmania's shoulder to lean on and voice when it matters. And right now, we're looking for a talented communications professional to help us tell that story from the inside out.
This is a rare and genuinely exciting opportunity to shape how our people connect with our purpose, and how the world sees RACT. If you're passionate about the power of storytelling, thrive at the intersection of strategy and creativity, and believe great communication can change cultures — this role was made for you.
What you'll be doing
As our Engagement Communications Partner, you'll sit at the heart of everything we communicate — internally and externally. You'll lead RACT's integrated engagement strategy, translating our RACT 2030 vision and Brand Evolution Project into compelling, human‐centric content that inspires action and builds connection.
* Lead and deliver RACT's integrated engagement strategy across internal and external audiences, in collaboration with business unit leaders.
* Drive a proactive, story‐led approach to change communication — helping our people understand the what, why and how behind every organisational initiative.
* Manage and contribute to a master content calendar, co‐facilitating planning sessions with cross‐functional stakeholders.
* Create and curate content across multiple formats – written, video, visual, and digital that reflects our brand, tone, and values.
* Establish an Executive contributor model and bring authentic team member voices into our communications.
* Collaborate with the Corporate Communications Partner on media relations, stakeholder correspondence, op‐eds, and executive communications.
* Build and maintain meaningful relationships with external stakeholders including government, community organisations, and industry bodies.
* Track engagement metrics and channel analytics to continually sharpen our communications impact.
What you'll bring
* Formal qualifications and demonstrated experience in internal communications, particularly supporting organisational change and culture programmes.
* A strong background in change‐management communications, content strategy, and multi‐channel audience engagement.
* Experience managing multiple communication platforms with a keen eye for channel‐specific best practice.
* Competency in video content, visual communications, and multimedia asset coordination.
* The ability to interpret engagement data and analytics to optimise outcomes.
* Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with confidence.
Benefits
* Staff discounts: Enjoy significant discounts on RACT home and car insurance, and free Ultimate Roadside Assistance.
* Wellbeing leave: Three days of Wellbeing Leave available per year that can be used however you wish.
* Superannuation contribution matching: For every dollar you contribute to your superannuation, we'll match it up to 2%.
* Career growth: We invest in your development because your success is our success.
* Flexible work: Balance your life commitments with our flexible work environment.
By joining RACT you'll be a part of an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity – every individual is valued and respected. We invite people from all backgrounds to apply.
