APS4/APS5 Planner (General & Affirmative Measures - Disability & First Nations)
NDIA is an independent statutory agency that implements the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to support Australians with a significant and permanent disability and to improve quality of life, participation, and peace of mind for people with disability, their families and carers.

QLD Service Delivery Branch engages with participants and manages participant plans and supports. Planning teams provide direct service delivery for NDIS participants, ensuring nationally consistent participant experiences aligned to the Participant Service Guarantee.
APS4 Planner
The APS4 Planner is a team member who works within defined parameters relating to the team’s area of responsibility. The role applies well-established policy, principles, practices and procedures to achieve outcomes that support NDIA’s objectives to build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme. You will provide operational and administrative support informed by knowledge in service delivery areas and undertake some research and analysis activities. The APS4 Planner has considerable contact with internal and external stakeholders and will communicate with and provide advice on a range of service delivery matters to resolve moderately complex enquiries.
APS5 Planner
The APS5 Planner undertakes planning activities and tasks using available information where options are not always evident. The role performs procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that support NDIA’s objectives to build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is a team membership position and may involve team leadership responsibilities, including setting priorities and allocating work to other team members. The APS5 Planner has considerable contact with internal and external stakeholders and will communicate with and provide advice on a range of service delivery matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries.

APS4 Planner – Duties of the Role may include:
- Gathering information from participants and planning partners over the phone or in person to enable high-quality planning and evidence-based decision-making.
- Using a range of policies, practice guidance and legislation to make funding decisions in relation to participant plans to complement informal, community and mainstream supports.
- Working closely with participants and their representatives to identify current and future supports, and informal, mainstream and community support options to achieve plan outcomes.
- Liaising with key stakeholders including Partners in the Community to deliver services to participants.
- Resolving issues and complaints in relation to participant plans.
- Completing administrative and data entry tasks relating to participants.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.
APS5 Planner – Duties of the Role may include:
- Contributing to management of workflow in collaboration with team leadership.
- Gathering information from participants and their representatives, planning partners and multiple stakeholders, to enable high-quality planning and evidence-based decision-making.
- Determining funded supports to be included in participant plans to complement informal and formal supports.
- Working closely with participants and their representatives to identify current and future supports, and informal, mainstream and community support options to achieve plan outcomes.
- Resolving issues and complaints in relation to participant plans.
- Completing administrative and data entry tasks relating to participant records and task workflows.
- Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.

Roles are required to be performed from Beenleigh, Bundaberg, Caboolture, Cairns, Chermside, Hervey Bay, Inala, Ipswich, Mackay, Maroochydore, Mount Gravatt, Robina, Rockhampton, Toowoomba, Townsville and Woodridge offices; remote working locations will not be considered.
We intend to fill these roles in an ongoing capacity; non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with possible extension up to 18 months may be offered.
Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks as required and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
