Glencore is advertising for a Human Resources Manager for a vacancy at its Black Star Open Cut operations. The role is based in Brisbane with a requirement to travel to site and work a Monday‐Friday roster.

About The Role
The Human Resources Manager leads workforce and people‐related components supporting the Black Star Open Cut (BSOC) feasibility study and execution phases, while ensuring effective delivery of operational HR priorities across the site. The position serves as the key interface between operational leadership, project stakeholders, and central HR functions to embed workforce planning, organisational design, industrial relations and mobilisation into project planning and readiness. It requires strong operational and commercial capability to balance immediate operational outcomes with future project needs. The role reports directly to the Project Director – BSOC.
Key responsibilities
Experience & Skills Required
This role requires significant HR leadership experience within mining, heavy industry or similarly complex industrial environments, with a strong emphasis on supporting major capital projects or large‐scale feasibility studies. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to integrate workforce planning, organisational design and industrial relations into project delivery frameworks, alongside strong commercial acumen and execution capability. Experience operating across multidisciplinary stakeholder groups and within structured project governance environments is essential.
