Salary range: $149,739 - $173,174 + superannuation and leave loading
Duration: Permanent full-time role, ongoing
Location: Hybrid with an in-office requirement on Tuesdays and Thursdays in Sydney, McKell. This may be subject to change in line with DCS workplace policies

This role enables innovation at pace—partnering with delivery teams to provide practical governance, reporting and risk expertise that helps turn ambitious AI and data initiatives into confident, compliant outcomes.
About the team
This role sits within the Digital, Technology and Innovation Division in the Data Governance and Analytics team in the NSW Telco Authority.
The team sits at the heart of EADI, delivering high impact AI and data solutions while ensuring they are governed, trusted and ready to scale across the organisation.
Your day-to-day
* Lead and coordinate EADI directorate wide governance and reporting activities, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent reporting to support executive oversight, decision making and accountability
* Manage performance, risk, issues and assurance reporting, including quality assurance of inputs from teams and consolidation into clear, decision ready outputs for governance forums
* Establish and maintain fit for purpose governance processes, documentation standards and reporting artefacts, supporting EADI teams to apply them consistently and pragmatically in day-to-day delivery
* Provide expert advice on governance, reporting and risk management, helping teams navigate requirements, resolve issues and meet compliance obligations without slowing delivery
* Coordinate governance forums, approvals and decision pathways, tracking actions, decisions and risks to ensure follow through and transparency across the directorate
* Monitor alignment of EADI practices with NSW Government policy, legislative obligations and organisational requirements, escalating risks and recommending improvements where gaps are identified

To be successful in this role you will have
* Essential Security Clearance: You will be able to obtain and retain minimum Baseline Security clearance within six months to work with sensitive government and critical communications information
* Experience leading governance and reporting functions within a complex directorate or program environment, ensuring consistent, compliant and decision ready outputs to support executive oversight.
* Strong experience managing performance, risk, issues and assurance reporting, including quality assurance of inputs and consolidation of information into clear, timely reports for governance forums.
* Proven ability to design, embed and maintain fit for purpose governance processes, documentation standards and reporting artefacts, supporting teams to apply them pragmatically in day-to-day delivery.
* Demonstrated capability providing expert advice on governance, reporting and risk management, strengthening accountability and transparency while balancing compliance with delivery needs.
* Experience coordinating governance forums, approvals and decision pathways, including tracking actions, risks and decisions to ensure follow through and visibility.
* Strong knowledge of, and experience working within, NSW Government policy, legislative and organisational requirements, with the ability to identify gaps, manage risk and recommend improvements.

NSW Telco Authority (NSWTA) operates and manages the Public Safety Network to deliver radio communications for frontline responders.
We work with emergency services and telecommunications carriers to protect communications assets during emergencies and natural disasters.
NSWTA is a delivery agency with responsibility for over $1.5 billion in key NSW Government projects that connect communities and support emergency services.
