Our Compliance and Investigation branch within our Maritime Directorate, are looking to create a pool of motivated, compliance focused individuals to join their team as a Compliance Services Support Officer!
The is a very diverse role and will have you undertaking tasks like reviewing and actioning CCTV footage for non-compliance against state legislation, conducting quality assurance and audit functions for compliance notices issued throughout the state, assisting the Team Leader respond to infringement complaints/appeal requests as well as liaising with various other government bodies such as the State Solicitors Office and the Fines Enforcement Registry.
You will also be responsible for providing top level administration support to the team. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the administration and tracking of prosecution briefs, receipting, and reconciling of all paid infringement notices and the input and storage of data relating to infringements, cautions, complaints, and reports.
The successful applicant will need to be a fast learner, have an eye for detail, possess good written and verbal communication skills, have proven problem solving and analytical skills and be highly organised. This, along with works well in a team, has strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders will ensure your success in this role. Experience in maritime compliance, enforcement, investigations, court proceedings and associated legislation is highly desirable.
Located in the new state-of-the-art offices in Kings Square, Fremantle, you will be close to the Fremantle Markets, café, restaurants, and public transport. We currently have one ( 1) x fulltime fixed term position available for a period of 14mths with the possibility of extension or permanency.

What is a recruitment pool?
This is a pool recruitment process; we use recruitment pools to build a bank of talent who we feel might be suited to future opportunities within the Department of Transport. You may join us on a full-time, part-time, fixed term or permanent basis however an appointment is not guaranteed.
This pool process can be used to fill other part time and full-time positions that may arise over the next twelve months.
The recruitment pool will remain open for a period of twenty four (24) months from the date of first appointment.
