Work Health and Safety Officer

AGnVET is seeking a Work Health and Safety Officer to provide technical expertise, guidance and coaching on all health and safety matters, in alignment with the company's Health and Safety Management System and applicable legislation.
About the role
This role will play a key role in embedding safety systems (LinkSafe and SafetyCulture) while supporting leaders to meet their Work Health and Safety (WHS) obligations and continuously improve safety performance.
Working closely with operational managers and stakeholders, you will provide practical guidance, support compliance, drive safety systems adoption and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
Key responsibilities
* Lead the continued implementation, administration and continuous improvement of LinkSafe and SafetyCulture Management Systems
* Provide practical WHS advice and support to leaders in line with legislation and company standards
* Coordinate risk management activities, including hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations
* Monitor WHS compliance and support audits, inspections and assurance activities
* Develop reporting and insights to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities
* Drive safety systems adoption through training, support and process improvements
* Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to a proactive safety culture
Skills and experience
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification and / or relevant demonstrated experience in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
* Sound understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and compliance requirements
* Exposure to SafetyCulture and / or LinkSafe or similar platforms (desirable)
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at all levels
* Strong capability in systems implementation, configuration and user support / training
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a continuous improvement mindset
