About the Role:
WorkPac is currently in search of a Maintenance Fitter to join our esteemed client's team based in Ballarat. This position is based on a Monday to Friday afternoon roster, full time hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on machinery
* Carry out upgrades and repairs to mechanical equipment
* Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, automated and materials handling systems
* Undertake welding, minor fabrication, and machining tasks
* Ensure compliance with all OHS policies and procedures
* Participate in safety projects and improvement initiatives
* Support production teams by keeping equipment reliable and efficient
Skills and Experience:
* Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter (or equivalent)
* Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated machinery
* Skills in welding, minor steel fabrication, and machining (lathes/milling)
* Understanding of safety and compliance systems (OHS)
* Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
* Must be able to pass a medical and police check
