About the role
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our salad processing facility based in Wacol. In this busy and exciting role, you will utilize your Fitter expertise to maintain and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment.
You will provide first class flexible support to production requirements by undertaking planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance, whilst ensuring established health and safety procedures are continually followed.
Lifestyle roster is AM shift 5.00am – 5.00pm working 5 days one week and 2 days the next week.
Duties:
1. Ensure compliance with One Harvest safety, health and environment requirements
2. Proactively identify & coordinate preventative maintenance across the site
3. Responsible for completion of planned maintenance tasks to ensure breakdowns are prioritised to meet production needs
4. Provide technical support & training to machine operators for basic troubleshooting
5. To provide detailed account of all work performed and logged in our CMMS (Mex)
6. Support continuous improvement/project implementation
7. Investigate plant or equipment deficiencies that lead to out-of-spec finished goods
8. Assist with ensuring BRC, and other standards are met
About You:
9. Able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals
10. A proactive and enthusiastic attitude coupled with a great work ethic
11. Mechanical Fitter Trade or equivalent
12. Sound knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems
13. Repair, change and improve machinery while ensuring principles of HACCP & GMP are not compromised
14. Welding, turning, sheet metal fabrication qualifications and skills ae highly regarded
15. Strong fault finding and RCA skills with a proven focus on right first time
16. Ability to work rotating rosters and weekends
