We have an opportunity for a full-time Legal Assistant to join our East Fremantle office.

We are seeking a talented and motivated legal assistant to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients and other parties
- Handle and manage your own files
- Provide support to designated solicitors and clients, ensuring smooth case management and provide assistance throughout the claims process
- Prepare briefs, letters, correspondence, and lodge documents on eCourts
- Maintain regular contact with clients to provide case updates
- Handle client inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation
- Summarise medical records, police reports, and documentation related to personal injury claims
- Manage calendars and deadlines to ensure timely filings
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing correspondence
- Prepare and submit documents to the office of Criminal Injuries Compensation
- Handle other administrative duties as assigned
Skills and experience
- Prior experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role is a plus
- Proficiency in legal software (FilePro, LEAP) and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment
- Knowledge of personal injury law and claims processes is a significant advantage
