Job Description
Our client, CHERRY LANE AUSTRALIA, has been manufacturing and sourcing the latest styles and accessories, stocked in over 300 outlets across Australia and New Zealand. Located in Melbourne, Victoria, they differ from other brands in that they are a small, independent company that is dedicated to customer service and quality apparel.
Their mission is to provide beautiful and quality clothing at affordable prices. They are currently seeking a Digital Media Specialist who will be based in their Laverton North office. In this role, the successful candidate is required to design, develop, and produce digital multimedia content.
Integrate multimedia elements with web code to produce, maintain, and support functional, responsive, and visually consistent websites. Monitoring website and digital platform performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design, functionality, and user engagement. The annual salary for this position is $76,515 to $77,000 plus superannuation.
Duties include:
* Designing, developing, and producing digital multimedia content, including animations, graphics, motion graphics, videos, presentations, and interactive web elements, using industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva.
* Analysing, designing, and developing internet sites and digital platforms using a combination of creative design principles and web technologies, including HTML/CSS, content management systems (Shopify), and multimedia software, to support business and marketing objectives.
* Integrating multimedia elements (image files, audio, video, animations, and scripts) with web code to produce, maintain, and support functional, responsive, and visually consistent websites.
* Applying user experience (UX) and interface design principles to optimise website usability, accessibility, and performance across different browsers and operating environments.
* Managing and maintaining website content, including product images, descriptions, seasonal catalogues, and merchandising updates, ensuring accuracy, functionality, and alignment with organisational standards.
* Assisting in analysing, specifying, and developing internet strategies, web-based methodologies, and digital development plans aligned with organisational objectives.
* Designing and developing multimedia assets for email marketing, social media platforms, and online campaigns, and analysing performance metrics to inform and improve future digital strategies.
* Liaising with technical and network stakeholders regarding web-related operational requirements, including website hosting environments, user access permissions, security considerations, data integrity, backup processes, and business continuity planning.
* Monitoring website and digital platform performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design, functionality, and user engagement.
* Providing ongoing technical and creative support for web-based multimedia systems, ensuring stable operation, timely updates, and effective integration with other digital platforms.
Qualifications:
* Must possess a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Digital Media, or a related field.
* Should have a minimum of one to two (1-2) years of experience in a similar setting.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, and Google Ads.
* Must have the ability to create engaging and relevant content for various digital platforms.
* Excellent interpersonal skills & able to handle conflict and pressure.
* Proficiency in using analytics tools to track user engagement and campaign performance.
* Product knowledge; problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Friendly and approachable.
