Protector Aluminium & Glass and ProStar Joinery (ProStar Management), established 30 years ago, manufactures and imports a wide range of quality products including aluminium and glass fencing, balustrade products, barrier and security doors, decorative screening, and timber joinery, supplying Bunnings Stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Account and Relationship Representative who communicates with ease at all levels, is confident, has plenty of initiative, and can think laterally to achieve consistent and effective results in-store across a set region of stores from Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay. The successful candidate must be based in Townsville.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Promoting and growing sales within your region of Bunnings stores
2. Developing and maintaining strong and collaborative relationships
3. Promoting product, service, and offer promotion to identify and drive business opportunities
4. Promoting the marketing of Protector & ProStar Joinery products and offers
5. Customer responsiveness and problem-solving
6. Preparing regular proposals, specifications, and reports
7. Strategic daily, weekly, and monthly planning of territory/store visits and meetings
8. Stock and vendor refill management including merchandising
9. Strong computer skills for remote reporting and accountability
10. Attending product launches, facilitating in-store training, and providing technical advice
11. Serving as the point of contact in-store for resolution of customer complaints and issues
12. Partnering with relevant Bunnings team members to provide expert advice and tailored solutions to enhance sales opportunities
About you:
You will possess:
1. Outstanding relationship-building and customer service skills at all levels
2. An affinity with/or a genuine interest and ability to gain detailed product knowledge
3. Experience in facilitating structured formal and informal training sessions
4. High-level organisational and planning skills with an exceptional eye for detail
5. Proven ability to adhere to processes as part of mandatory role requirements
6. Professional presentation and demeanor to represent the company
7. Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands and ad-hoc tasks
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Ability to travel regionally once a week, including overnight stays
10. Ability to handle/move products as required
11. Strong relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills
12. Well-developed sales, business development, and negotiation skills
13. A current Australian Drivers Licence
