About the Role
We are seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team at Blackwater Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing our large production fleet to ensure safe, reliable and high-performance operations. You will work across a diverse range of equipment, including:
* Hitachi EX8000, CAT 6060 & Hitachi EX3600 excavators
* Komatsu 930E & CAT 789C haul trucks
* CAT 16M & 18M graders
* CAT D10 & D11 dozers
* CAT 785 water trucks
This is a great opportunity for fitters who enjoy working with big gear, strong team culture, and a stable long-term contract.
About You
You'll bring the technical expertise and proactive mindset needed to keep a busy fleet running safely and efficiently, including:
* Relevant Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle trade qualifications
* Demonstrated experience in a similar mining maintenance role
* Proven exposure to 789 and 930E trucks, and 600T & 800T Caterpillar, Hitachi & O&K excavators
* High level of initiative with the ability to work effectively under pressure
* Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
* Good planning, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
* Coal Board Medical (desired, not essential)
* Standard 11 (desired, not essential)

Located in Central Queensland, Blackwater Mine is one of the region's largest and longest-operating coal mines, situated just 21km from the township of Blackwater.BUMA Australia has proudly delivered truck and excavator pre-strip operations at this site since 2012, moving more than 35 million BCM of material every year.Our high-performance fleet includes Komatsu 930E and Caterpillar 789C haul trucks supported by Hitachi EX8000, Caterpillar 6060 and Hitachi EX3600 excavators.
