About the role
Your job is to get in front of stonemasons, kitchen retailers and cabinet makers by establishing a foothold with new clients and servicing existing clients. This is done via consistent visits, product training, and obtaining floor space for displays and samples. Some regional travel is required, including overnight stays, with coverage extending toward Port Macquarie and the South of Brisbane.
What you will do
* Prospecting and opening new accounts with stonemasons, kitchen retailers and cabinet makers, allowing you to plant the brand in every relevant customer across your territory
* Secure product display stands in high‐traffic showrooms, giving the range prime positioning where end customers and designers are already making decisions
* Deliver in‐store product training with showroom staff and kitchen designers, building their confidence to recommend the range and increasing pull‐through sales
* Negotiate promotions and current range sell‐ins with business owners, using commercial levers to accelerate growth within existing accounts
* Manage your call cycle and project follow‐up via your CRM, keeping every commitment to every customer tracked and followed up
* Joint calls with your State Manager to tackle more difficult accounts together and help close sales
* Attend one monthly sales meeting that is outcome focused, with no unnecessary administrative work
What you bring
* Field sales experience, preferably calling on stonemasons, kitchen retailers, cabinet makers, flooring, tiles or related building materials trade channels
* Not afraid to call on new customers, understand their pain points and seek to solve them, in a bid to become a long‐term preferred supplier
* A proven track record of building accounts through consistent call cycles and disciplined follow‐up
* Commercial confidence dealing with business owners, floor staff and trade accounts
* A background in interior design, colour consulting or a selection studio role is advantageous but not essential
* Genuine interest in interior design or home renovations, with strong sales skills
