About The Role
The key responsibilities include:
* Ensuring contractor compliance with legislation, service levels, and industry standards through administration, supervision, inspection, auditing, and reporting.
* Developing site-specific work instructions for contractor delivery of scheduled maintenance and project work across council's Environment Reserve network.
* Negotiating positive business outcomes through effective verbal and written communication with contractors and internal stakeholders.
* Assisting in planning and delivering operational programs, including National Tree Day and Community Group activities.
* Managing program expenditure, approving invoices, and tracking financial records.
* Participating in council's Bushfire Management Program, including planned burn operations and wildfire response.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Demonstrated experience in natural area management, including knowledge of botanical species and ecological restoration theory and practice.
* A current unrestricted QLD Class C Driver's Licence.
* ACDC Licence, Chainsaw Operators Licence, and Fire Crew training.
