Intake and Administration Officer – Suicide Prevention
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Intake and Administration Officer to join our Suicide Prevention team. You will play a critical part in providing support to individuals and families impacted by suicide, while ensuring the smooth operation of administrative systems. This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role until 30 June 2026 based at Hindmarsh.
What you’ll do
- Conduct initial intake assessments from professionals and individuals to determine eligibility for programs and connect individuals with the right services
- Complete all Intake and Assessment documentation, ensuring accurate records are kept to guide the delivery of effective services
- Liaise with stakeholders to obtain sufficient information for the referral assessment process
- Collaborate with program staff and managers to ensure smooth flow of administrative functions
- Perform administration tasks including data entry, monthly reporting on referrals, and ordering supplies as required

- Administration experience with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Proven ability to handle phone and email enquiries, client difficulties and conflict situations
- A passion for helping others, particularly in a sensitive and supportive environment

- Diploma or equivalent experience in Community Services
