Overview

Human Resources Officer (Maternity Leave Relief) – Lane Cove, New South Wales. This is a temporary maternity leave relief contract until July 2026.

About The Role

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of end-to-end generalist HR services including recruitment, training and development, and staff induction functions to meet Council’s ongoing People and Culture responsibilities.

What You’ll Bring / Successful Candidate Will Have

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field (e.g., Human Resources Management, Learning and Development or Business)
- Previous work experience in a similar role in either the public or private sector
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgment in resolving problems
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) including the ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organisation
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and set priorities to meet key deadlines

Salary Range

From $1,499 to $1,735 per week (plus super) dependent on the skills, qualifications and relevant experience of the suitable candidate.
