Life at Steadfast
Steadfast is built on a simple belief: none of us are as good as all of us. It shapes how we work, how we support our brokers and partners, and how we show up for each other every day.
Introduction
Our Together values guide everything we do: we listen, collaborate, include, and back each other to succeed. As Australia's largest general insurance broker network, we help businesses and communities feel supported, protected and confident in the moments that matter. When you join Steadfast, you become part of a team where your ideas are welcomed, your wellbeing matters, and your growth is genuinely encouraged.
Your New Role at Steadfast
Pricing Actuary – A role that celebrates solving problems, creating clarity, supporting others, improving systems and building strong relationships. You will bring curiosity, care and a collaborative mindset to your work.
You will work closely with Miramar, Steadfast Group, Risk, Compliance and key business stakeholders to strengthen pricing processes, deliver insights, support decision‐making and improve experiences.
What Your Days May Look Like
You might start the morning checking in with Miramar and internal partners, reviewing priorities and identifying emerging challenges. By midday you could be deep in actuarial modelling, analysis or portfolio conversations, translating complexity into clarity and shaping insights that help the business move forward.
In the afternoon you might partner with delivery teams, leaders or product owners to refine a model, enhance a pricing tool or map out the next steps of an initiative. Every day you will be contributing to work that has real impact across our network and the communities we support.
The Work You Will Lead and Shape
* Create: Build and refine pricing models, frameworks and analytical tools that strengthen how we work.
* Collaborate: Bring together diverse perspectives across Miramar, actuarial, risk, compliance and business teams.
* Challenge: Ask thoughtful questions, test assumptions and help us make better pricing and portfolio decisions.
* Deliver: Own key pricing work and see it through to meaningful commercial outcomes.
* Support: Provide guidance, clarity and confidence to stakeholders during reviews and decision‐making processes.
You may also:
* Develop pricing frameworks, modelling tools and actuarial processes.
* Maintain reporting systems, data frameworks and actuarial documentation.
* Build capability, relationships and insights across the business.
* Lead pricing initiatives, analysis and continuous improvements.
* Prepare reports, recommendations and governance papers.
What You Will Bring
* Experience in actuarial pricing, general insurance or a related field, and confidence working with actuarial systems and modelling environments.
* Strength in analysis, communication, stakeholder engagement and problem solving.
* Ability to translate complex actuarial concepts into clear, practical insights for non‐technical stakeholders.
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships.
* Relevant qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent experience.
If you are not sure you meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply; we value potential and diverse experiences.
