* Salary: AHP4 - $118,887 - $129,427 p.a. (pro-rata) + Superannuation & Salary Sacrifice Benefits

* Part Time Role until 30 June hours per week, Thursdays and Fridays)

About the role

As the Head Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Research, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the Royal Adelaide Hospital's Nuclear Medicine Research Program. Working at the forefront of innovation, you will provide expert technical and strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the safe and effective delivery of research activities. This includes managing radiopharmaceutical supply and licensing for novel tracers, ensuring compliance with ethics, EPA radiation and patient safety requirements, and supporting robust data management, funding obligations and trial feasibility. Your expertise will help translate cutting-edge research into meaningful clinical impact.

In this influential role, you will balance research leadership with hands-on clinical practice, maintaining a clinical workload as an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist. You will monitor and enhance complex clinical services through continuous quality improvement, contribute to policy development, and support education and capability building across the team. About You

You are a highly experienced and motivated Research Nuclear Medicine Technologist who thrives at the intersection of clinical excellence, research leadership and innovation. With a strong professional foundation and a collaborative mindset, you bring the expertise, judgement and drive needed to lead complex research activity while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and patient care.

* Qualifications and regulatory compliance: You hold an appropriate degree in Medical Radiation (Nuclear Medicine) or equivalent, are registered with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, and are licensed (or eligible for licensing) to use radioactive materials and operate CT apparatus in line with South Australian legislation.
* Clinical and research expertise: You have extensive clinical experience across Nuclear Medicine, including advanced SPECT, PET and Bone Densitometry, alongside a strong track record in clinical research, trial coordination, research governance and ethics, with experience contributing to Statewide, National and International molecular imaging and theranostics trials.
* Leadership and collaboration: You demonstrate the ability to lead and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, applying strong leadership, change and resource management skills while communicating clearly and fostering positive, productive relationships with health providers, academic partners and research organisations.
* Safety, quality and professional judgement: You bring sound knowledge of contemporary nuclear medicine practice, emerging technologies and health information systems, with a proven commitment to safety, quality improvement, ethical research conduct and compliance with relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice.
