The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for providing senior-level engineering, advisory and design services across complex Defence infrastructure environments. You will assess existing infrastructure, deliver design and build artefacts, and provide technical leadership to drive consensus and resolve conflicts across projects. You will contribute across the full engineering lifecycle, from current state assessment and solution design through to build, implementation and assurance, while also coordinating cross-project engineering activities and producing documented technical advice to support decision making.
Key Responsibilities
* Report on current system infrastructure and hardware, including infrastructure within related Defence projects
* Provide technical leadership and advisory services to the customer and program team, working across multiple projects with diverse stakeholders
* Build consensus and mediate conflicts on infrastructure direction across teams and programs
* Develop High Level Designs
* Develop Quality Assurance Plans
* Create Build Guides, including scripts and playbooks
* Prepare Standard Operating Procedures
* Produce Infrastructure Current State Assessment Reports covering infrastructure, hardware and related systems
* Deliver Infrastructure Solution Design Packages, including High Level Designs, system configuration documentation and integration design outputs
* Produce Build and Implementation Artefacts, including build guides, scripts or playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures
* Deliver Technical Assurance Outputs, including Objective Quality Evidence, training material assessments and Judgements of Significance
* Identify system deficiencies and produce Issue and Resolution Reports documenting remediation actions
* Provide cross-project engineering coordination, including periodic coordination reports covering impacts and risks across projects
* Produce documented technical advice and decision records capturing technical decisions and stakeholder outcomes
* Work collaboratively with Defence stakeholders, project teams and vendors to deliver compliant outcomes
* Contribute to knowledge transfer, documentation and operational readiness
* Undertake additional tasks as required to support Defence delivery outcomes
