**About the Role**
- Reporting to the Engineering Director, the Project Engineering Manager will be based in Jakarta Indonesia and will provide essential technical and management expertise to the local engineering team assigned to the project
- Works with the drafting team and design engineers to develop and review all engineering discipline layouts, arrangement and detail drawings.
- Ensures that Design Engineers follow project administration procedures.
- Ensures that the Scope of Work documents are prepared on schedule and coordinate with the Procurement Team the issue of Requests for Tenders (RFTs), Supervises the technical adjudications of the received bids and ensures fair placement of Purchase Orders in a transparent manner and in compliance with all ethical norms and company procedures.
- Liaises closely with the Engineering Director.
- Interfaces with suppliers.
- Reviews and recommends or approves contracts and cost estimates from a technical nature.
- Ensures the correct management of the development of technical work package scopes, budgets, schedules, and permitting documentation associated with the project.
- Ensures that engineering, project planning, scheduling, budget control and quality control, meet the objectives for the project in all phases of the project.
- Ensures all activities are planned and coordinated closely with all departments to ensure there are no surprises and work is carried out in a safe, environmentally responsible and efficient manner.
- Ensures the purchase and availability of technical documentation including operating, training and maintenance manuals, and of relevant spares associated with the project.
- Develops and implements policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the project.
**Job Requirements**
- University Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Chartered Status with the Australian Institute of Engineers is advantageous.
- Min. 14 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the Mineral Processing Industry.
- Min. 4 years of experience in an Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer.
- Possesses a broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines and management of multidiscipline engineers.
- Gold processing plant and Australian Project experience is highly advantageous.
- Experience with working in multi-cultural teams.
- High English proficiency is essential.
