The Technical Coordinator will support the Technical Manager in ensuring the seamless and efficient technical delivery of the Festival programme.
Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) is the world's oldest continually running film festival and, in 2024, relaunched as a brand new entity with a new board of industry leaders.

We are currently hiring a Technical Coordinator to join us at this year's Festival.
Purpose of the Role:The Technical Coordinator will support the Technical Manager in ensuring the seamless and efficient technical delivery of the Festival programme.
Key responsibilities include:
Comprehensive management of print traffic.Coordination of distribution of drives across Festival venues.Precise reporting of technical and logistical information relating to both film screenings and live events.The role is key to ensuring the smooth delivery of all screenings and events, and requires a working knowledge of Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) standards, the ability to interpret and process both DCI and non-DCI XML files, and a clear understanding of Composition Playlists (CPLs) and Key Delivery Messages (KDMs).
Festival technical operations are both diverse and demanding.
The successful candidate will be a conscientious and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in delivering to a high standard.
They must demonstrate the ability to adapt swiftly within a fast-paced environment, efficiently managing assigned tasks while upholding the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Contract Details:Contract type: Fixed term contract.
Mid-May – August 2025.
Salary: £27,540 pro rata.
Working days: 5 days a week by agreement within standard office hours of 9.30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.
At peak times, and particularly immediately before and during EIFF, it will be necessary to work outside standard hours and at weekends.
Payment of overtime is not applicable to this post.
