Through our Trainee/Cadet Program, you'll learn the industry from the ground up and grow into a Trading Representative (Mobile Buyer).
It's a proven launchpad that's developed leaders across Sims Limited – including our current Chief Operating Officer.
About The Role
Based at our Wingfield site, you'll get hands-on experience across various departments in a structured development program designed to prepare you for a long-term career in scrap metal trading.
You'll gain real industry knowledge, commercial experience, and receive personal mentoring to help you thrive in our fast-paced industry.
What You'll Do
* Rotate through key business areas to learn how we source, process, and trade metal
* Support the Commercial Team with pricing, customer service, and admin tasks
* Assist in achieving commercial targets and building customer relationships
* Learn to assess, price, and purchase scrap metal as part of your development into a Trading Representative

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* You will be highly motivated, able to adhere to strict deadlines and work in a dynamic team environment
* Any business, commercial or customer service experience is desirable
* Current driver's licence (required)
