Provide day-to-day business and technical administration support to the department.
Our client is a federal government department located in Barton who have an chance for an APS5 PDMS Support & Training Officer to join a friendly team on a 6-12-month non-ongoing contract.
The successful applicant will have Parliamentary Document Management System (PDMS) system experience, and will be responsible for the maintenance, development and training of the department's Parliamentary Documents Management system (PDMS). The PDMS team works closely with various teams to ensure the needs of the department (including end users and the Executive) are met. This position also assists with PDMS maintenance and training and the development of ministerial templates.
Duties include:
- Provision of day-to-day business and technical administration support to the department in relation to PDMS and administration of all configuration (i.e. user access, assurance groups, templates, metadata)
- Resolution management of system issues
- Assist with the coordination and/or delivery of group and individual training to staff in the use of PDMS, including development of relevant training materials (including eLearning packages)
- Undertake and coordinate with end users and business areas, user acceptance testing for upgrades and new modules
- Preparation of statistics, PDMS views and/or reports as requested
- Management of the PDMS mailbox
- Contribute to strategic planning and development of PDMS within the department
- Assistance with day-to-day operations of the team as required
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Australian Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Clearance
- PDMS experience (or IT, system experience)
- High attention to detail
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to provide training and support to others
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience and achieve results
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment where deadlines are tight
- Awareness of ministerial and parliamentary processes and procedures (specifically ministerial correspondence and submissions)
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
- Experience with QTB processes would be an advantage
