Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of strategic redevelopment projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and implement key retail and mixed-use construction projects, ensuring timely delivery and maximising value for stakeholders.
Key Objectives
As the Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Director to deliver high-quality redevelopment projects. Your primary objective will be to manage construction, tenant coordination, and project outcomes, minimising the loss of rent by improving timelines related to construction staging, store handovers, and openings, while driving maximum value for the company and its shareholders.
Main Accountabilities
* Provide regular updates on project status and costs through Project Control Group reports
* Lead and manage the tender process using innovative procurement strategies
* Achieve stakeholder sign-off on designs and various stages of development
* Oversee the appointment and negotiation with consultants and tenants
* Play a vital role in commercial and contract management, ensuring positive outcomes
* Coordinate with consultants and contractors to meet design, technical, and quality specifications
* Perform value engineering to maximise development returns while minimising disruption to operational centres
* Ensure strong risk management and safety performance throughout the project lifecycle
* Assist with the preparation of redevelopment proposals, from project briefs to the final handover
Requirements
* 5+ years experience in commercial development, particularly in retail
* Strong leadership experience in fast-paced project environments
* Advanced contract negotiation and administration skills
* Expertise in managing large-scale, sophisticated construction projects
* Solid understanding of retail and mixed-use tenancy design guidelines
* Proficient in managing budgets and schedules
* Ability to provide innovative solutions and value-for-money outcomes
Essential Qualifications:
* Qualifications in Project Management, Construction, or a related field.
