As part of Shell's QGC Midstream leadership team, you will play a key role in helping the company safely and sustainably deliver more and cleaner energy solutions.
About the Role
The challenge facing the energy industry in the coming decades is considerable as we transition to cleaner forms of energy. As the leader for Safety and Environment (S&E) at Midstream, you are expected to represent the HSSE discipline to the highest standards while partnering with the business, identifying issues, and delivering timely and fit-for-purpose solutions that comply with risk-based regulations.
* Champion and role model HSSE Leadership to strengthen and maintain a positive and disciplined HSSE culture in Shell QGC Midstream.
* Deliver HSSE support services in Shell QGC Midstream to implement and assure controls, drive continuous improvement, and enable delivery of world-class health, safety, security, and environmental performance.
* Partner with operations and contractors to develop and implement effective HSSE culture and controls.
* Drive engagement and advocacy with internal and external stakeholders to share best practices and address common issues.
About You
We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead a team of HSSE professionals and integrate HSSE delivery into asset operations and improvement plans. The ideal candidate will have:
* A relevant Engineering or OHS/Science degree.
* Substantial experience leading teams and working alongside diverse teams.
* Substantial operational experience and knowledge of industry HSSE risks unique to LNG/Major Hazard Facilities.
* Substantial knowledge of national and international Health, Safety, Environment legislation and standards.
