About the opportunity
The Senior Category Specialist – Corporate plays a pivotal role in delivering value-for-money outcomes across high- to medium-value and risk corporate spend categories at AGIG.
The role is responsible for leading the development and execution of corporate category plans, with a strong focus on providing strategic recommendations that drive commercial value, support operational excellence, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.
This position sits within the Group Contracts and Procurement department, as part of the Commercial and Growth team.
The role offers flexible location options and may be based in Perth, Adelaide, or Melbourne.

Key responsibilities
Drive stakeholder engagement and secure commitment to Category and Subcategory Plans that deliver optimal cost benefits while maintaining supplier relationships.
Plan and lead end-to-end sourcing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and engaging key business stakeholders.
Develop and manage contracts that effectively balance the desired commercial outcomes with appropriately managed risk in a timely and value for money manner.
Execute agreed Category Plans and sourcing strategies, ensuring supplier compliance with contractual obligations.
Define and manage the supplier base, secure capacity, and plan implementation timelines, resources, and costs in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Manage supplier relationships related to the assigned Category.
Support AGIG's environmental and social goals, including ESG targets related to Contracts & Procurement.
Promote sustainable Contracts and Procurement practices aligned with net zero objectives.
About you
Extensive experience in Category Management, Procurement, or a similar role.
Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a level of skills or knowledge gained through experience.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in strategic sourcing, contract development, and supplier management.
Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
