Heavy Fabrication & First Class Welder - Multi processesFull-time casual | $53 per hour | Job security | Interesting work | Early finish on FridayAbout the roleQMW Industries Pty Ltd are recruiting experienced Heavy Fabrication & First Class Welders with skills in multiple welding processes to join our High-performance team in Acacia Ridge, QLD. The role will involve the fabrication and welding of a wide range of products and equipment, from complete Fuel Lube Service (FLS) modules, Water and Fuel Tanks, Elevated Work Platforms and Machinery Attachments, to ROPS/FOPS/OPG’s, OEM Cabin refurbishments and many other custom products and services to support our customers evolving and demanding business needs.What you'll be doingFabricate and weld heavy industrial components and structures to high quality standardsUtilise a range of welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAWInterpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabricationInspect and test welds to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standardsAssist with the operation and maintenance of workshop equipment and toolsCollaborate with the wider fabrication team to support delivery of projects in full and on timeWhat we're looking forQualified welder with a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalentDemonstrated experience as a First Class Welder on heavy fabrication projectsProficient in a range of welding processes including GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAWAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipEffective communication and teamwork skillsKnowledge of relevant welding codes and standardsSafety First and Continuous Improvement mindsetFlexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demandsAbout us:QMW are world leaders in full turn-key custom engineered solutions for the mining, earthmoving, construction, transport and forestry sectors, from product concept, design, test and manufacture to through life support.
