Responsibilities
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to safely transport seafood products within the warehouse and production areas.
* Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas in a timely and effective manner, following proper handling procedures.
* Assist with inventory management, including counting, labelling, and organising products.
* Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet production deadlines.
* Adhere to all workplace health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operating practices.
Qualifications
* Valid forklift license and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or similar workplace with at least 2 years of experience.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and physically demanding role, with excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as inventory counting and product labelling.
* Valuable communication skills and the ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
* Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is preferred but not essential (training will be provided).
* Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as required.
* Full working rights to work 38+ hours, Monday to Friday.
