Job Opportunity
This is an exciting chance to work in contaminated site management in Canberra, Australia.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out environmental fieldwork including drilling, hydrogeological testing and collecting samples of soil, groundwater, ambient air and landfill gas.
* Analyse large datasets, develop conceptual site models and write detailed notes.
* Create technical assessment reports and recommendations.
* Oversee contractors and take responsibility for safe, compliant and quality fieldwork programs.
* Apply relevant legislation, standards and project specifications.
Requirements
* 2-4 years of experience in contaminated land management.
* Previous consulting experience including business development, proposal writing and delivering excellent client outcomes and cost-effective solutions.
* Experience in managing small to medium contaminated-site projects.
* Knowledge of soil contaminants, site sampling techniques, investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil and gas.
* Understanding of NSW regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary education in earth sciences or environmental science/engineering and strong project management skills.
