You'll play a central role in aligning project controls with broader business systems to enable confident decision-making and ensure compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a data-led, solution-oriented position for someone who thrives in complex project environments and is passionate about building the systems and capability needed to deliver transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and standardise cost control, scheduling, and risk management practices across a diverse capital portfolio.
* Design and implement a fit for purpose Project Controls environment that considers people, process, and systems.
* Oversee the integration of procurement, contract, and financial systems into project controls, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
* Ensure project data integrity and document control, supporting transparency and audit-readiness.
* Ensure project risk and quality control, tracking actions, and ensuring ongoing compliance.
* Oversee the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and schedule forecasts for major studies and projects.
* Contribute to portfolio-wide capital expenditure, project status, and readiness for execution.
* Partner with engineering, finance, procurement, and external contractors to embed best practice systems and workflows.
* Coach and uplift capability in cost engineers, schedulers, and project team members, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
* A strategic thinker with strong technical knowledge of project systems and a deep understanding of capital delivery frameworks.
* Experienced in managing government grant funded and or debt funded infrastructure projects, including compliance reporting.
* Skilled at navigating SAP-based project environments, ideally with 10+ years in mining or large-scale industrial settings.
* Comfortable working across multifunctional teams and project phases—from early studies to execution readiness.
* Passionate about using data to drive decisions, shape systems, and tell the story of project performance.
* A natural communicator and collaborator who thrives in fast-paced, high-investment portfolios.
