Job Overview

This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established sales business team, focusing on maintaining strong B2C and B2B relationships with a medium customer base in Broadacre Cropping.


Territory Business Manager Role

You will work independently, being the main point of contact for local Growers, distribution partners, and agricultural key influencers in your designated territory area.

Your primary focus will be on achieving an annually agreed sales budget, ensuring there is an appropriate supply and product mix across Bayer's products in Crop Protection, Seed Growth, and Traits.


Responsibilities

* Engage and promote Bayer Crop Science products, increasing demand and strategically achieving targets and market share growth.
* Maintain an appropriate level of technical knowledge, enabling you to confidently translate technical product information into commercial benefits for customers, providing value-adding services.
* Work closely with the distribution channel to sell and promote Bayer Crop Science products, closing sales at each opportunity.
* Prepare and execute a territory and key reseller business plan that fits with the overall company and regional business strategy.
* Organise and establish field activities to promote products through demonstration plots, trials, grower field days, and grower meetings.
* Forecast stock allocation, control, and distribution timelines for customers.
* Accurately produce sales forecasting, monthly sales reports, and updates to management.
* Evaluate the effective allocation of representative time, promotional items, and promo expenditure to achieve optimal return on investment.
* Maintain accurate records of customers to ensure continuity of information on the territory and customer knowledge to enable targeted sales activities.


Requirements

* Proven Agriculture technical knowledge, ideally with 2 years of sales agronomy experience or sales within the agricultural industry.
* A genuine passion for engaging with customers and providing product recommendations.
* Comfortable spending a substantial amount of time on the road and in the field.
* IT literacy, confident navigating MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and CRM databases.
* Ability to produce accurate forecasting and monthly sales reports.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
