YWCA Australia is looking for a Program Facilitator who amplifies lived experience voices in homelessness and Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV), and champions culturally safe participation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

* Location: Garramilla / Darwin (Palmerston) - Larrakia Country
* Employment Type: Part-time | Ongoing | 30.4 hours a week with flexible work pattern available
* Salary: Social & Community Services Level 5| $51 to $53.31 per hour + Super

About this opportunity

This role leads the delivery of a scaled‑up Lived Experience and Advocacy Program, ensuring the culturally safe participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and elevating lived‑experience voices in homelessness and DFSV across policy, program design, and advocacy.

In this role you will be:

* Delivering empowerment and skill‑building programs for Aboriginal women, either independently or alongside partners.
* Co‑facilitating the NT Lived Experience Advisory Group (LEAG) to ensure culturally safe, meaningful participation and strong contributions to systemic advocacy.
* Championing advocacy for First Nations participants, helping elevate their voices across programs and partnerships.
* Ensuring physical, emotional, and cultural safety through trauma‑informed, strengths‑based, and culturally responsive practices.
* Supporting participant-led advocacy, including recruitment, healing‑informed support, and maintaining accurate and confidential participant data.

You’ll be a great fit if you have:

* Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in culturally safe, trauma‑informed, and empowering ways.
* A strong commitment to amplifying First Nations voices in advocacy, systems change, and lived experience‑led initiatives.
* Ability to build trust and work respectfully and inclusively with participants, communities, and stakeholders.
* Experience managing sensitive information with confidentiality and ethical data practices.
* Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation and lead accessible, inclusive workshops.
