We\'re excited to welcome a Speech Pathologist to our Child, Youth and Family Health team. Speech Pathology clinicians within Child, Youth and Family Health deliver assessment and intervention for children from Birth to Kindergarten age who require support for communication and feeding with a primary health care focus. The position sits within the multidisciplinary community-based Child, Youth & Family Health (CYFH) Program which is part of the wider Women’s and Children\'s Service (WCS). The Speech Pathologists are based at Child Health Centres within the SCHHS region including Nambour, Gympie, Caloundra, Noosa, and Maroochydore.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of paediatric Speech Pathology services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice and established clinical protocols. For complex or novel cases, you will seek direction from clinical seniors as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and patient records in line with Departmental, Unit and Health Service procedures, and contribute to the maintenance of accurate and timely information systems (statistics collection, quality data). Ensure that time spent across clinical and non-clinical work is in keeping with assigned requirements.
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
Remuneration value up to $53 027 p.a., comprising salary rates $39.86 - $58.59 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.).
