Job Description
What is the role?
Our Cooks provide service between our a la carte and buffet environments. All our roles are focused on exciting our guests with flair and enthusiasm and demonstrating a genuine passion for cooking and the kitchen. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will form a key part of a team who are responsible for providing high quality product to our lounge passengers.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Prepare, cook and serve food for the breakfast buffet showing variety and flair
* Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage following stock control procedures
* Assist the preparation of ingredients, which includes chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring food products.
* Ensure Food Safety protocols are followed
* Keep all working areas clean and tidy. Cook is required to wash all dishes during service
* Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned. Report any problems to the CDP & Head Chef
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Cook in a high-volume kitchen
* Experience and knowledge working in mass production and large volumes
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Culinary degree or equivalent an advantage but not essential.
* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* MUST have full working rights within Australia
* Able to work a Full Time contract
* Ability to pass a federal police background security check
