Responsibilities:

1. Provide clients with a professional and confidential reception service through the Switchboard, Main Reception, and Emergency Department Reception, including immediate attention to patients presenting for treatment.
2. Undertake all administrative functions related to processing emergency admissions and after-hours direct admissions.


The Team:

The Switchboard Department operates 24/7 across 3 shifts: 7am - 3pm (Day), 3pm - 11pm (Afternoon), and 11pm - 7am (Night). Night shift duties include working in the Emergency Department as both Switchboard and Emergency Triage Clerk. Responsibilities include booking visitors' units, completing On Call Rosters, greeting new and locum doctors, and managing accommodation keys. Additional duties may include reception at main reception, internal mail clerk, and Parkside reception. Applicants should consider their availability for short-notice call-ins across all shifts and potential work across both North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital. Applicants will need to confirm their availability during the application process.

Position Details:

Fixed-term, casual, shift work position, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 10 months. Hours are negotiable. This process may be used to fill similar vacancies for up to twelve months from the date of publication.


Salary:

$73,811 to $79,779 per annum (Pro rata), plus 11.5% superannuation contribution. Salary is aligned with the Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.


Salary Packaging:

Options include salary packaging benefits such as living expenses up to $9,010, $2,650 in meal entertainment annually, and other benefits if eligible. More information is available in our Employee Benefits.
