ROSTER:8/6 Residential Kalgoorlie-Boulder or FIFO ex PerthTENURE:Permanent Full timePACKAGE:Salary + Performance Bonus + Residential Allowance + Family Private Health Insurance + Death and TPD Coverage or Allowance + Mental Health Programs + Gym Membership Discount + Other BenefitsABOUT THE ROLEAs a Drill and Blast Training Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that ensure safety, efficiency, and best practice in drilling operations.You will also be responsible for assessing the competency of drill rig operators, ensuring that all work meets both operational and safety standards.This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGEnsure all training complies with safety regulations and operational requirements.Conduct competency assessments for drill rig operators and the shot firing team to ensure adherence to industry standards.Collaborate effectively with teams across multiple cultures and geographic locations.Provide feedback and ongoing support to personnel to drive continuous improvement in performance.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drill & blast practices, safety protocols, and relevant legislation.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDThe candidate must have developed leadership skills and the experience or ability to manage the drill and blast training function and a solid understanding of the legislated requirements.Cert IV Training and Assessment TAE40116 or above or working towards achieving the current Cert IV TAE qualification.Min 5 years' experience in the open pits drilling and blast functionLoad and Haul and/ or HD Mechanical experience (desirable)Certificate IV WHS or auditing qualifications (Desirable).
Strong ability to work in remote mining locations and across diverse teams and cultures.Previous experience in a training and assessment role is highly regarded.A proactive and safety-first approach to all aspects of the role.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the workforce.Surface Shot firing Licence.Experience drilling on L7 and T45 Drill Rigs (Desirable)BENEFITSReceive $12k residential allowance per annum.Receive up to 15% short-term incentive payment (STIP) of your base salary.Fully covered family private health insurance through GU Health Complete Gold Cover or an allowance of $4.8k.Receive $2.4k allowance to put towards your choice of Death and Total & Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance.Pro-rata long service leave (LSL) after just 5 years of service and be entitled to 13 weeks paid LSL after 10 years of service.Opportunities for learning and development through various training programs provided by the company.Work in a team with a growth mindset, ensuring you are able to bring out your best.EMPLOYER QUESTIONSYour application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have as a Training Coordinator?
