About the Role
Join our dynamic Retail Banking team as a Business Development Manager and be at the forefront of establishing and building BOQ's broker distribution channel. Your primary responsibility will be to support new home loan growth and ensure existing customer retention. You'll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with brokers, market and promote our products and services, and meet the needs of brokers and their clients.
As a key member of our Third-Party Broker Unit, you will report directly to the State Manager and work closely with Business Development Managers, Desk based BDMs, Business Development Officers, Relationship Service Assistants, and our Credit and Home Lending teams. Externally, you'll engage with BOQ Accredited Brokers and Aggregator partners, playing a crucial role in our mission to deliver exceptional financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To build strong relationships with accredited brokers and develop a strategic plan to drive business through the BOQ Broker channel, through face to face and virtual methods.
2. Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders including the Broker Operations team, Credit and Home Lending in Group Operations
3. Support the execution of the communication strategy with approved aggregators and accredited individual brokers.
4. Have a thorough knowledge of all product and service offerings available to customers through the broker channel.
5. Ensure quality of applications from brokers to reduce rework, including training them in relevant processes and procedures.
6. Meet the financial and non-financial objectives of the BDM scorecard.
7. Provide excellent and efficient service to the broker and aggregator network to maintain and build on relationships.
