Salary: $104,953 – $113,204 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading

The Opportunity
As a Management Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the University's financial sustainability by providing high quality financial analysis, reporting and insights. You will partner with Schools, Divisions and Entities to ensure leaders have reliable information that supports effective decision making. Working closely with Senior Finance Business Partners, you will maintain strong relationships with internal clients and act as a trusted source of financial advice.
This role will see you coordinate month end close processes, undertake detailed financial modelling and forecasting, and prepare reporting that highlights trends, risks and opportunities across your portfolios. You will contribute to the improvement of financial systems, processes and practices, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with accounting standards.
You will also support capability uplift across client areas by helping teams understand financial systems, forecasting tools and budgeting frameworks. Your work will make an important contribution to maintaining the University's financial health and strengthening institutional planning.
What Success Looks Like:
Deliver accurate and timely reporting, forecasting and performance analysis across portfolios.
Coordinate month end close activities including reconciliations, journals and acquittals.
Provide data driven insights and recommendations that support strategic decision making.
Build strong stakeholder relationships as a trusted financial advisor.
Improve financial processes, tools and reporting efficiency across the division.

About You
Qualified in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Skilled in financial reporting, journal processing, reconciliations and month end procedures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
High level proficiency with financial systems such as TM1, Oracle and Excel.
Effective communicator with the ability to explain financial concepts to diverse stakeholders.
