Materials & Logistics Lead

Wood is recruiting a Materials & Logistics Lead to join our Operations business in Darwin, supporting a long‐term client partner in the Oil & Gas industry on a WA Brownfields Contract. This is a permanent role, available full‐time or part‐time (job share).

Responsibilities

* Hand‐on management of the materials and logistics team, overseeing all aspects of materials management, including expediting, logistics, materials control, and reporting.
* Provide direction and supervision of assigned materials and logistics personnel on the project.
* Ensure competence and performance of all team members.
* Manage effective expediting, receipt, storage, movement and control of materials to support projects.
* Liaise with other supply chain leads, client, freight forwarders and the supply base to marshal and ship materials in accordance with Wood procedures and client requirements.
* Monitor and report progress of materials and logistics activities.
* Maintain up‐to‐date reports and material systems.
* Escalate critical issues and risks to the Supply Chain Manager.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

* Hold a degree or equivalent in Commerce, Supply Chain or Logistics.
* Have 10+ years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
* Be able to work lawfully in Australia and hold full working rights for Darwin.
* Be proficient in ERP systems such as AVEVA ERM, Oracle or SAP.
* Have demonstrated experience with logistics and materials management best practices, client contract requirements and supply chain principles.
* Show commercial acumen, a solutions mindset and strong risk management skills.
* Possess several years of supervisory experience, capable of leading diverse teams.
* Be customer‐focused and able to develop trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable

* Currently based in Darwin or willing to relocate to Darwin.
* Proven experience identifying efficiencies and tool improvement to drive performance.
