About the Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Data Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Technology Vertical in Australia and make a meaningful impact every day. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across our Payments vertical.
About the Role
This is a SQL-heavy role, focused on validating ETL processes, data transformations, and reporting quality across data pipelines and warehouses. Your responsibilities will include:
* Validating data accuracy, completeness, and transformation logic across multiple systems and environments.
* Writing and executing advanced SQL queries to check data accuracy, transformations, and integrity across large datasets.
* Building and enhancing QA automation frameworks for data testing, contributing to standards and best practices from the ground up.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Developers, Product Managers, QAs to ensure test coverage and alignment with business goals.
* Mentoring junior QA team members and providing technical guidance on BI testing best practices.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven QA experience with a few years focused on BI, data warehouse, or analytics testing.
* Advanced SQL skills and experience validating large, complex datasets.
* A strong understanding of ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance principles.
* Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
* Strong experience in test automation for data, ideally building frameworks or automation solutions from scratch.
* Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, and Confluence.
