You'll have the autonomy to build lasting relationships with key contractors, engineers, and construction professionals across Victoria, promoting our diverse portfolio of high-performance products to achieve exceptional market penetration. Working alongside our supportive State Sales Manager, you'll be empowered to establish new markets and accelerate growth in our Building Line division.
This role offers the perfect blend of technical expertise and sales success, where you'll be at the forefront of introducing game-changing solutions to Victoria's construction industry while building a rewarding career with genuine growth potential.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* To service and support existing customer base and develop new accounts
* Promote Mapei products and their advantages to all existing and new clientele
* Prepare project proposals / requirements for customers
* Increase Mapei's footprint with new customers and increased sales within your state
* Planning and overseeing customer product training programs
* Some regional travel will be required
* Attending promotional activities
About You
You bring a strong technical background in construction chemicals, concrete repair systems, water proofing and building materials, with the ability to understand complex product specifications and application methods.
Your proven sales track record demonstrates success in building relationships with contractors, engineers, and construction professionals while translating technical features into clear business benefits.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting application challenges and recommending appropriate solutions. With strong communication abilities, you can effectively present to diverse audiences from project managers to technical specialists, adapting your approach to match their expertise level.
Your self-motivated nature and results-driven mindset enable you to manage a territory independently while consistently meeting sales targets and expanding market share.
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree or related Trade Certificate highly regarded.
* At least 5 years' experience in construction industry relating to waterproofing and concrete repair
* At least 3 years' experience in a sales role highly regarded.
* Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Must possess high level of organisational and time management skills.
* Valid and current motor vehicle driver licence
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member
* Ability to be "hands on" and outcomes-focused
* Have a continuous improvement mindset
* Intermediate computer skills in MS suite
