The Opportunity
We're looking for a talented UX/UI Designer to help create intuitive, user-centred digital experiences used every day in hospitals and aged-care facilities across Australia. In this role, you'll translate user insights into thoughtful UX and UI design, contributing to products that support clinicians, patients, residents, and care teams. As a UX/UI Designer, you'll work across the design lifecycle—supporting research activities, creating user flows and interfaces, and iterating designs based on feedback and testing. You'll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that are usable, accessible, and visually considered.
What you will be responsible for
• Support and participate in user research, usability testing, and analytics reviews to understand user needs and behaviours
• Design intuitive, accessible, and engaging user experiences aligned to product goals and roadmaps
• Produce UX/UI designs, prototypes, and visual assets using tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible and implemented as intended
• Contribute to existing design systems and follow established patterns to ensure consistency across products
• Clearly communicate design ideas, user flows, and rationale to team members and stakeholders
• Support Go-To-Market activities where required and contribute to team and organisational KPIs
What we're looking for
• A user-centred mindset with empathy for end users and a passion for solving problems
• Strong attention to detail with a balance of creativity and practicality
• Comfortable participating in research, workshops, and usability testing
• A collaborative team player with clear communication skills
• Curious and proactive, with an interest in learning new tools, techniques, and trends
• Well organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Tertiary qualification in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field
• Training or certification in UX/UI methodologies (desirable)
• Proficiency in Figma and modern design tools
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design for mobile, web applications, smart TVs, and touchscreen interfaces
• Hands-on experience contributing to user research and usability testing
• Experience working with design systems and within agile delivery environments
• A basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, components, and design tokens
• Experience in the healthcare industry is ideal but not required
