A leading commercial energy specialist is hiring a Business Development Manager (C&I Solar + Storage) to drive growth across Australia's commercial and industrial market. Based in North Sydney with hybrid flexibility, you'll own the full sales cycle—opening doors, building a qualified pipeline, shaping solutions with internal teams, and closing commercially sound deals. Start is immediate.
This is a business that's been operating since 2012 and has built a reputation for doing things properly—high-quality delivery, long-term customer relationships, and a culture that values collaboration and continuous learning. You'll be supported by internal engineering, solutions and project delivery teams, and you'll represent an organisation that's known for helping customers cut costs, cut emissions, and take control of energy.
What you'll do
* Identify and qualify prospects, build a robust pipeline, and manage forecasting with discipline.
* Run discovery conversations with commercial decision-makers and translate objectives into a clear energy solution story (ROI, payback, risk, delivery pathway).
* Work closely with Solutions/Engineering/Projects to ensure proposals are technically feasible, commercially strong, and aligned to safe design principles.
* Keep CRM and reporting tight—clean data, clear next steps, and accurate visibility on progress and market insights.
* Stay across relevant market shifts (policy, incentives, financing options, and C&I buyer behaviours) to sharpen your approach.
What we're looking for
* Proven performance in consultative B2B sales—ideally in C&I solar, energy, infrastructure, HVAC, building services, or adjacent solution sales.
* Confidence discussing commercial outcomes (ROI, payback, financing, risk) with owners, CFOs, and sustainability/operations leaders.
* Strong pipeline management and forecasting habits; you know how to build momentum and close.
* Technical curiosity—enough solar/storage literacy to handle questions and work effectively with engineers.
* High standards around professionalism, safety, and ethical selling.
