About the Role:
Our Private Business Tax team in Brisbane is expanding, and we’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join our community of solvers. The team specializes in providing comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services to privately-owned businesses, including family enterprises, partnerships, and privately-held companies. Our expertise covers areas such as tax planning, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganizations. We work closely with clients to understand their needs, ensuring compliance and optimizing their tax positions.
Your Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relationships with private business clients, understanding their tax needs and providing tailored advice.
* Prepare and review tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Advise on tax-efficient strategies, including succession planning, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
* Stay updated on tax laws and regulations, conducting research to inform clients.
* Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
* Identify tax risks and develop mitigation strategies.
* Update clients on tax legislation changes.
* Provide services for clients with multiple entity types, including trusts, companies, partnerships, and individuals.
* Assist with tax due diligence, reviewing purchase agreements, and implementing acquired entities.
