We are seeking an experienced and reliable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a casual basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, providing exceptional front-desk service to patients and administrative support to clinicians.
Experience using Best Practice is essential.
Key Responsibilities
> Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner
> Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and recalls using Best Practice
> Answer and direct phone calls promptly and courteously
> Process patient billing, including EFTPOS, Medicare, and private payments
> Handle Medicare claims and online submissions
> Maintain accurate patient records and update details in the system
> manage incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, faxes, mail)
> Support doctors and nursing staff with administrative tasks
> Ensure the reception area is clean, organised, and welcoming
>Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations
