On My Feet (a registered charity in Australia) helps people transform their lives. A not-for-profit supporting people experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness by providing exercise groups and structured programs aimed at creating pathways to self-sufficiency and improved wellbeing. On My Feet Programs are offered free of charge to residents/clients and the shelters/agencies. We have several chapters throughout Western Australia, Melbourne and we are growing.

Mentoring Program Lead
to design and deliver a meaningful mentoring experience to connect, grow, and thrive through our weekly activities. In this role, you'll take the lead in creating a structured and supportive mentoring framework linking volunteers and participants in a way that fosters trust, consistency, and hope. You'll be the architect of a program that not only builds relationships for today but also lays the foundation for lasting positive change.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Develop:
Create a structured mentoring program that connects volunteers with On My Feet participants in a consistent and supportive way.
Strategic Alignment:
Define program goals, requirements, and deliverables in line with On My Feet's mission and values.
Risk & Opportunity Management:
Identify potential risks, areas for improvement, and opportunities to strengthen the mentoring experience.
Volunteer Engagement:
Identify, recruit, and support volunteers to take part as mentors.
Program Implementation:
Launch the program on a pilot basis, coordinating its rollout and ensuring smooth operation.
Evaluate & Evolve:
Monitor the program's impact, gather feedback, and recommend enhancements to ensure ongoing success.
What you will bring
People-first mindset:
You have professional experience or education in psychology, social work, or mental health, or simply a strong passion for supporting others.
Program design skills:
You know how to create people-focused programs that drive positive, lasting impact.
Community experience:
You've worked or volunteered in the not-for-profit sector and understand the heart and challenges behind volunteer-led initiatives like On My Feet.
Leadership with empathy:
You bring strong interpersonal skills, compassion for people experiencing homelessness, and the ability to lead and inspire others with kindness and respect.
Enthusiasm & drive:
You're full of energy, optimism, and a genuine desire to help volunteers and participants improve their lives.
Preparedness:
Basic Mental Health First Aid and First Aid training are highly valued (or a willingness to complete them).
