Join Communicare’s Breathing Space program – a residential behaviour change program for men who use violence and abuse in their relationships. As the Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team in delivering therapeutic, evidence-based interventions that support men to change their behaviour and enhance the safety of women, children and their families.
The Role
* Lead the day-to-day operations of Communicare’s Breathing Space program at Maylands
* Manage a multidisciplinary team including Facilitators, Intake and Assessment Specialists, Support Workers, Family Safety Advocates and Cultural Advisors.
* Ensure a high-quality delivery of group work, case management and advocacy.
* Oversee risk management, policy compliance and program integrity.
* Build strong relationships with Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations (ACCO’s), government departments, community organisations and other stakeholders.
This position will be located in Maylands and is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 76 hours per fortnight. Due to the nature of the position and industry, shift work and travel may be required.

Selection Criteria
* Tertiary qualification in the human services field, and/or experience in family and domestic violence.
* Experience in managing and leading high-performing teams.
* Advanced communication (written, verbal and public speaking), interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to forge and maintain strong and collaborative relationships and alliances that enhance organisational capacity.
* Advanced people management skills, including the ability to lead and manage people and resources to achieve consistent outcomes, and provide professional supervision.
* Advanced knowledge in Family and Domestic Violence and Abuse service delivery and practice development
* Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date).
* Working With Children Check.
* Willingness to obtain a Department of Justice Clearance if required.
